Once again i apologize for my lack in writing, however the good news is The Green House has been very busy and now i can keep you updated.

Firstly i would like to thank Tor Johnson, who after staying with us and hearing about our causes, returned home to England and her farther of Johnsons coaches sent a 500 pounds donation, which is S/ 2250(soles) for the building of the kindergarden, so Thankyou all who helped and donated this huge amount.

So what a good start we have for the building, however will need more to complete and decorate.
The news regarding the situtation with the kindergarden. We where given a piece of land, only to be told it will be next to the new hospital that will be getting built. Sadly this does not work, as any possibilitie of infections or illness etc is not good and now await a new piece to be given. I have a really good feeling that this will be happening very soon and hope it is before the end of the year.

We have donated the books, crayons and so much stationary to the kindergarden in the next village of Harin and will be buying the tables very soon.

Project News

Well how time flys ! Im not sure when i last wrote on here, but im sure its a long time.

The reason has been waiting on the cooprativa to make a decision on giving us a piece of land to build the new kindergarden.

It always seems to be mañana mañana and only today agian have been told to go on Tuesday for the news. Please do not hold your breath.

We have been in constant contact with Maria the teacher and said that we need the parents of the children to all get together and go to the cooprativa and put there case forward. Its a little dissapointing when nobody shows and its all left to ourselves. We do not believe this is how we want to proceed and if they are not interested in giving there children a place to learn, who are we to say.

The kndergarden is presently in a very small building for 3 months. We have given the paint and glass for the windows, from the donations recieved. Total cost S/50.00 soles

We really believe that this project needs the involvement of the community and we will wait untill next Tuesday 9th June to see how to proceed. So watch this space.

We have decided to use the money donated by so many of our wonderful guests, to help local familys in need of the basic necessities and have donated S/300 soles to have running water put into a local family of six children, mother and farther. There are still may familys without water, using the river for there needs and we would ask for donations to change this situation. Please get in contact with us and we can advise how to proceed.

We have also been approached by another Kindergarden in the nest village of Harin. Needing 4 tables, 16 chairs, crayons, paper A4, marker pens, chalk and drawing paint. We will be making a visit next week to check things out.

I would now like to thank all the guests who have kindly donated money or have carried clothes, toys, all sorts of staionary and the family of four who arrived with the biggest bag of footballs, toothpaste, brushes and drawing pens THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FROM THE COMMUNITY OF HUARAN.

The other news is The Green House is going from strength to strength and we are so lucky with all the fantastic people we have met since we opened. We are so looking forward to all the new people to come and Gabriel & Bryan thank you all.

Kindergarden Christmas Party

Happy christmas and merry new year to you all.
Please forgive us for the delay in writing, as the green house has been very busy over the festive season.
The christmas party at the kindergarden was just so wonderful, with the children bringing along many family members. We started with songs, drank chocolate, eat cake and finnished with giving the clothes and presents donated.

Please enjoy the pictures and be inspired by the beautiful smiling faces.

We have sent out many letters looking for fianancial help in the buying of land, building the new kindergarden and now waiting on replys, so fingers crossed. I will keep you all updated.

So a big thank you from all the very happy children and thank you to Gabriel, Irene and kathy for there help on the day.
